I've been abroad quite a bit in the last decade, especially to Asia. Most of those trips were to Korea, but I have
no pictures from those trips. If one of my Korean friends has pictures from my work there, I would love to receive them;
please send them to my email address. My most recent trip was to Taiwan, specifically Taipei,
where I rehearsed and conducted the wonderful Formosa Singers, who conductor Julian Su prepared beautifully prior to my arrival.
It was utter joy to work with them. Their administrator, Yi-Ting Tsai, was a constant companion and help, and their accompanist/translator/assistant
conductor, Yu-Shan, was of inestimable aid in all of her capacities. Both became dear friends. Moses and Lotus
Tai were gracious, generous hosts, both in their home and in their city, and have been friends for a long time now.
Finally, it was a joy to make three new friends from among the singers: tenor/conductor Clement, soprano soloist/'older woman'
Tsai-Wen and bass/coach/jock Kulo.
